Spirit Volleyball Club will be following the CDC's recommendations on our COVID protocols within our club.

As of 1/27/22, the CDC states:
People with COVID-19 should isolate for 5 days and if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), follow that by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others to minimize the risk of infecting people they encounter.

For those exposed for 15 or more minutes:
CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days followed by strict mask use for an additional 5 days. Individuals who have received their booster shot do not need to quarantine following an exposure, but should wear a mask for 10 days after the exposure. For all those exposed, best practice would also include a test day 5 after exposure. If symptoms occur, individuals should immediately quarantine until a negative test confirms symptoms are not attributable to COVID-19.

COVID Procedure
What to do...
-
Report a positive case of COVID-19 to your coach. Include when symptoms started or positive test occurred. Players and coaches that test positive can resume practice/games after 5 days as long as they are symptom free. They will then wear a mask for 5 additional days unless a negative test result is given.
-
Your coach will report COVID-19 exposure along with a detailed explanation of the situation to the directors, Mason Cooley and/or Ryan Varndell
-
After gathering the information, an email outlining policy will be sent by the coach to all involved parties and next steps as it pertains to the team and situation.
